Phone Orders Only: 1-888-2GO-HIKE taken during regular business hours of: Monday - Friday 10am-7pm, Saturday 10:00 am-6pm, Sunday 11am-6pm. CST All major credit cards accepted.

Return Policy:
If you're not satisfied with any item, return it to us for an exchange or a refund of its purchase price. We ask that returned products be in like-new condition, with their original packaging and instructions.

You can expect your refund or exchange within four weeks from the time we receive your return. For credit card orders, please allow one to two statements for your credit to appear.

  • Cash or Credit Card Refund within 30 days and with sales receipt
  • Item(s) must be returned within 30 days of receipt
  • Item(s) must be clean, unused and otherwise in the same condition as order was sent
  • Item(s) must include all original tags, packaging, and instructions
  • Item(s) must include a copy of the packing slip
  • No refunds on Shipping charges. TO or FROM the store
  • Backorders:
    Any item not in stock at the time your order is received will be backordered. This means that all available items will be shipped right away, while those currently unavailable will be sent to you once we receive them. You will receive an email giving you the choice of canceling the item, or waiting until the backordered item is available. You will only be billed for items once they are shipped to you. All backordered items will be sent to you free of shipping.

    Domestic Shipping:
    Orders will be shipped within 72 hours of payment. Shipping and handling charges are ground shipments to continental U.S. (see chart on price list) Call for shipping and handling charges beyond continental U.S. Standard ground shipments take 5 to 7 days. Please inspect the condition of your purchase at the time of delivery and report any damage to carrier driver for claims processing.

    Some items may have a special shipping cost. Shipping cost of these items will be listed in the item's description.

    Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico - please call 888-2GO-HIKE for shipping costs. Allow 1-2 days additional for Alaska and Hawaii.

    Oversized Items:
    Shipping items such as camp furniture, footlockers, or other heavy items costs extra. Please refer to the specific product page for additional shipping charges which will be added to your order at the time or purchase.

    Holiday Schedule:
    UPS is our shipping service. They do not pick up on Christmas, the day after Christmas or on New Year's Day. Any orders afte made after 2pm CST, Friday Dec 30th, will not ship until Tuesday, January 2nd, 2006 as UPS is not picking up on the 31st and is closed on the 1st..     International Shipping
    We're sorry, but Uncle Dan's currently does not ship overseas.

    Taxes and Fees:
    IL residents add 8.75% sales tax to total order; customers pay direct all other (local) taxes/fees where applicable (including any required out of state sales or use tax on mail order purchases).

    Warranty/Guarantees:
    We're not 100% enthusiastic about your purchase until you are. We know if we don't take care of you someone else will. At any time, let us know what we need to do to earn your confidence and loyalty. Please consider your purchase a safe one for you and allow us to exceed your expectations of what an outdoor store can be. Returns, exchanges, refunds, and warranties will be handled cheerfully and quickly. Defective products will be repaired or replaced at manufacturers discretion under the terms specified by factory warranty or guarantee which ever may be the case. Please inspect condition of your purchase at time of delivery. Report all damage claims to carrier driver for processing.

    Safety:
    The use/inspection of outdoor products should always be supervised by responsible adults; no product fitness for any particular use is expressed or implied. Customer/user assumes all liability for personal or property mishap during use/inspection of any Uncle Dan's sales product.

    Outdoor sporting activities can be dangerous.... proper training in the use and care of outdoor equipment, by certified sources, is strongly advised. Always wear a certified life jacket or vest while engaging in water sports.
